WRITING

The orchestra

An orchestra is a music group which interprets plays music with various music instruments.
This name, orchestra, is the name for the place they play too between the stage and the stalls.




This name was born in 5th century bC, in Greek theaters.

Normally, the orchestra has four groups or families of instruments:
1.- Chord instruments: there are instruments who sounds when the strings they has vibrate.


Here we have violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp and piano.

2.- Wind instruments: there are instruments who sounds when the air pass through the tube. They can be of woodwind like flute, oboe, clarinet and maricon or brasswind like trumpet, horn,trombone and tuba.



3.- percussion instruments: there are instruments who sounds when we  hit them like drums, chocolate, triangle, bells….

  1. In my view, with this activity pupils can improve their listening, reading and writing skills and practice the use of words collocations so, they can progress in they grammar skills and have fun at the same time. Moreover, they practice pronunciation. I like it!
